Edit:So there has been a question or two about this month's challenge. Under the Challenge catagory I have added a few notes that will hopefully help out a little.


First off,
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hope that this year is wonderful for everyone and warm wishes to all the MD:TAS fans out there

Second, I know a lot of you out there did art that fell under the TCFC... I know, I watch you on my personal account ( _{I am always watching} ) But I also know that the season gets busy so don't forget to submit all that work, it will still be put under last month's TCFC until the 15th of this month.

and third, sorry if the comments under each category this month are not very in depth, I have been very sick and am a little groggy.

This Month's Theme is...
Traditions
This time of the year there are a lot of traditions, not just religious but also family traditions for winter celebrations and bringing in the new year. So this month's theme revolves around that idea. Traditions of the feathered Puckworldians and what did they bring to the world of Earth.


Challenge

This Month's Challenge is...
Soundtracks and CD Covers
A very good friend of mine inspired me a few months ago for this challenge and I have been trying to think of the right time to do it. Well, no better time then the present, right? This can be the sound track and cover for your own personal character or any of the cannon (as always) or the whole show if you wish. The only thing holding you back is your imagination.

Edit: Ok, so what I was thinking with this is to make a CD+Cover that could be a sound track for the show, or for individual characters either Cannon or OC. But this idea has also been expanded with the idea of a character making a CD of their own and what the songs would be with made up titles. So making a CD list (and designing the CD+Cover) that is either exsisting songs with the artist or made up ones as if the charater is singing them.

Already the end of the year, my how time fly...
...get it... duck... fly... never mind

We have add a few new members this month, which is alway wonderful! It is just fantastic that the club continues to grow day by day, and so many wonderful submissions this month. Thank you everybody!

Two quick things. First, sense the cat is already kinda out of the bag. I am going to announce the theme of next year's contest. First, yes I have decided to hold a contest each year for the club's anniversary. It will not be open for submissions for quit some time, but I figured I would announce the topic now for people to start getting an idea of what they may want to enter.
2009's contest theme will be.... TO DESIGN A NEW VILLAIN. This can be a Saurian, Avian (Duck or Rapture), Human, or another alien race if you wish to make one.
Prizes are unknown so please don't ask yet.
Time line is also unknown, but I am thinking of opening up the submissions in March to give everyone 6 months to work on it. In the mean time, I will try to get things together.

Second, we now have listings for commissions offered by club members [link] If you are interested in posting your information, note the club or my personal account and we will get that information up there. We will also put things up like "Open Trades" on there if you are offering trades instead of full commissions. Just let us know

Gift Giving
So this is why a few months back I pushed everyone to make a profile of their character. For this month's theme. What has one have to do with another? Well, think of it as Holiday Presents (no matter what holiday you celebrate). Draw someone else's character as a Holiday Surprise! There are plenty out there, and everyone needs a bit of Winter Cheer! So give a gift of art or fan-fiction this month and put a smile on someone's face. If you need an idea of who to give a gift to, note the club... I got a list and I can give you the information needed


Challenge

This Month's Challenge is...
Winter Holidays on Puckworld
So last year's theme was Holidays, and last years Challenge was Puckworld... so this year we are putting them together So what do the ducks celebrate during their winter? How do they celebrate it? Do they still celebrate it on Earth or have they celebrated Christmas/Yule/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa/ect? These are just a few questions you can ask your self to get the juices flowing


Featured Character

This Month's Featured Character is...
Captain Klegghorn
Why the Captain? Well for a few reasons. First, maybe a little bit of Holiday Cheer will change his mood around and he wouldn't be so cranky. Two, dress him up in red and green with a little funny hat and shoes and he would sooooooooooooooooooooooooo look like a disgruntled Santa Elf
So hug the Cap'n with an image or story and spread the Winter Cheer

So it looks like people want another contest... some say I started it too early last time and that is why we didn't have a lot of people, others say I didn't give enough time and should announce the new topic now (which, yes, has been decided )... we will see, I have to think about it. This Month's Theme is...
The Resistance
So I have been wanting to do this one for a while and I think now is the time for it. There is sooooooo much that can be done with this theme we might even revisit it again in some form. Some things to think about for inspiration: We know what Wildwing and Nosedive look like during this time, but what about the others? Is the Resistance still having problems on Puckworld? Is the Problem solved? What did the first Resistance during the original war with the Saurians and Drake DuCaine look like? There is so much more that you can go into, the possibilities are endless! So good luck and lets see your imaginations fly
